This is the second best thing thats happened to my computer. I play this while literally doing everything in my life. If there was one critique I could, it's just that level 47 is impossible on 2X speed because you cant get over the pixel in time.

I downloaded Boxel Rebound because the game icon looked harmless. That was my first mistake. The game starts off easy. You are a little cube. The level is simple. Life is good. Birds are singing. The economy is stable. Then Level 3 arrives and suddenly the game transforms into a government-funded torture experiment. The spikes in this game are absolutely ridiculous. They are everywhere. The floor? Spikes. The ceiling? Spikes. The walls? Spikes. My family? Probably spikes. Every time my cube touched a spike, it exploded with the force of seventeen nuclear power plants. Meanwhile the spikes just stood there looking smug. The cube also has the durability of an overcooked noodle. Fall 500 meters? Fine. Touch one tiny triangle? Instant death. Makes sense. I spent 45 minutes on one level and eventually became so focused that I started seeing jumping patterns in real life. I saw stairs and thought: "Yeah, I could probably speedrun that." The worst part is when you're ONE jump from the finish. You make the jump. You can SEE the goal. You can TASTE victory. Then your cube clips a spike the size of a grain of rice and explodes into a thousand pieces. At that point I didn't even get angry. I just stared at the screen like a history documentary narrator. "And here we observe the player losing the last fragment of sanity." The custom levels are somehow worse. Who are these people making them? Who wakes up at 6:00 AM and thinks: "You know what this level needs? More spikes." Then adds 8,000 MORE SPIKES. I played one custom level that was so difficult I think it legally counts as a war crime. The soundtrack is good, but after hearing it for the 900th time it starts sounding like the game is laughing at you. The checkpoints are rarer than shiny Pokemon. Finding one feels like discovering Atlantis. Missing one feels like your ancestors are disappointed in you. My keyboard now has trust issues. Whenever I press space bar, I can hear it whisper: "Please... not Boxel Rebound again..." At one point I got so mad that I stood up dramatically to leave.
